KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 25): Gamuda Land, the property arm of Gamuda Bhd, announced in a Feb 24 statement that all 400 landed Park Home units of The Clove Phase 1 were taken up across its three township developments in Selangor, namely Gamuda Cove in Sepang, Gamuda Gardens in Kundang, and twentyfive7 in Telok Panglima Garang.

The Clove, which is introduced under Gamuda Land's new Park Homes housing typology that was unveiled last year, features cluster-of-eight homes arranged around a private gated garden. The house typology, which aims to blend terraced and semidee living, offers more space for greenery and outdoor areas.

With a combined gross development value of RM418 million, Phase 1 of The Clove offers homes with built-ups ranging from 1,971 to 2,284 sq ft at an average selling price of RM900,000.

“The Clove represents the result of extensive research and thoughtful design. We took the time to truly understand the needs and desires of Malaysians through a nationwide survey, which revealed the key pain points and aspirations that we’ve addressed in the design of The Clove. This home goes beyond the traditional concept, offering the perfect balance of space, customisation and connectivity, all while integrating advanced technology,” said Gamuda Land chief operating officer Jess Teng in the statement.

According to the statement, buyers of The Clove could customise their space through the developer's GL Connect portal that is powered by Generative AI as well as receive personalised room configuration recommendations — ranging from one to three bedrooms — based on their lifestyle preferences. It added that this customisation comes at no additional cost, and buyers pay the same price for their home regardless of their chosen layout. It said that flexibility aims to help homeowners avoid costly post-renovation expenses, such as hacking walls to add or remove rooms.

“Through our GL Connect platform, we’ve made it easier for buyers to personalise their homes, ensuring it fits their lifestyle perfectly. The success of The Clove is a testament to how listening to our customers and delivering innovative solutions based on their real needs creates a meaningful, impactful homebuying experience,” said Tang.

“Initially, many potential buyers were not able to visualise this new typology as it wasn’t something already available on the market. But since the exclusive preview of the show units at Gamuda Cove and Gamuda Gardens, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. When people could experience the actual space, they truly understood the value and benefits of this innovative home design. It’s exciting to see the concept gain such acceptance, and we look forward to seeing this success continue as we launch the next phase,” she added.

The Clove show units are available at Gamuda Cove and Gamuda Gardens.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 20): Gamuda Land’s GL Business Get Set Go initiative, which has attracted more than 100 business applications since the campaign launched on Nov 25 last year, is set to continue.

“Seeing the overwhelming response, the initiative will continue, with more recipients and opportunities to be announced in the coming months,” the property arm of Gamuda Bhd said in a statement released on Thursday.

The GL Business Get Set Go programme offers financial support, including capital expenditure grants and rental subsidies, with a total grant pool of RM1.8 million, to help small businesses establish and grow within the developer’s townships.

The first group of grant recipients will expand their businesses to multiple locations, including Quayside Mall at twentyfive7, and the upcoming Townsquare Lifestyle Retail at Gamuda Cove and Gardens Square at Gamuda Gardens.

Gamuda Land chief operating officer Wong Siew Lee said, “This initiative is a three-way win: for us as a developer, our townships thrive with the right mix of commercial businesses; for the community, it means enjoying retail conveniences within walking distance; and for local businesses, it’s an opportunity to grow and expand with the right support.”

According to the statement, Townsquare Lifestyle Retail at Gamuda Cove, and Gardens Square at Gamuda Gardens are scheduled to open in 2Q2025, with a tenant mix including food and beverage (F&B) outlets and essential services, and will comprise brands such as ASAI Hotel by the Dusit Group, Taylor’s Education Group, Jaya Grocer, Star Grocer, Global Art, Big Apple EduWorld, ZUS Coffee, llaollao, 7 Café, ChaTraMue, Gigi Coffee, Caring Pharmacy, Yilo Restaurant & Bar, and Old Town White Coffee.

It highlighted that accessibility at Gamuda Cove will improve with the two-kilometre toll-free Cyberjaya Link that is set to open in August this year, and that the township is projected to attract two million visitors annually.

Gardens Square at Gamuda Gardens is expected to draw one million annual visitors, while Quayside Mall at twentyfive7 continues to attract 600,000 visitors monthly, it added.

“By investing in local businesses, we’re not just building commercial spaces — we’re creating experiences and fostering economic growth,” Wong added.

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 23): Gamuda Land, in collaboration with Meaningfull Life, is launching Malaysia’s first integrated eldercare facility within its twentyfive7 township, setting a new benchmark for multi-generational community living.

The Meaningfull Clubhouse at Quayside Plaza is scheduled to open in March 2025, offering a pioneering eldercare model that integrates professional services within the township’s existing amenities. This initiative aims to provide seniors with access to parks, retail outlets and medical facilities while enjoying a socially engaging and active lifestyle.

“This partnership goes beyond caregiving. It’s about creating opportunities for seniors to thrive — to engage in meaningful activities, maintain independence, and stay connected to their families and communities,” said Meaningfull Life chief executive officer Anna Chew.

The clubhouse will offer a range of facilities and services tailored to senior wellbeing, including healthcare support through Gamuda Clinic, meals curated by Meaningfull Life’s dietitians in collaboration with Quayside Mall’s F&B tenants, and various social engagement activities such as woodworking workshops, pickleball games and group outings. Additionally, the clubhouse will provide physical and cognitive wellness programmes designed by physiotherapists and psychologists to promote mobility, mental stimulation and overall wellbeing.

Unlike traditional standalone eldercare facilities, the clubhouse model integrates elder support services into the broader community, offering a cost-effective and flexible alternative for families.

With 15% of Malaysia’s population projected to be over 60 by 2030, developers are increasingly focusing on creating communities that cater to ageing demographics while maintaining intergenerational appeal.

“When we envisioned twentyfive7, we wanted more than just a residential development,” said Gamuda Land chief operating officer Wong Siew Lee. “Our goal was to foster a self-sustaining, family-oriented ecosystem where every generation feels at home.”

Gamuda Land plans to replicate this integrated eldercare model across its other townships, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and inclusivity in urban living.
